Shield Innocence
The Shield Innocence program at Yellow Hope Foundation is a vital pillar in our mission to protect vulnerable populations. We focus on safeguarding children and animals from abuse, neglect, and exploitation, recognizing that they often lack the ability to protect themselves. This program reflects our deep commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment where all beings can thrive.
The statistics surrounding child abuse and animal cruelty are alarming. Globally, an estimated 1 billion children aged 2–17 years have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional violence or neglect in the past year (WHO, 2022). In the United States alone, child protective services agencies receive an estimated 3.5 million referrals involving approximately 6.4 million children annually (US Department of Health and Human Services, 2021). Animal cruelty is also widespread, with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) estimating that over 6.3 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Our Shield Innocence program provides a range of services, including educational programs to raise awareness about abuse prevention, a confidential hotline for reporting concerns, and support for foster care and adoption initiatives. We believe that through education, community outreach, and direct support, we can create a world where innocence is protected and all beings are treated with compassion and respect
